Hexagon Head - For Extra Heavy Steel up to 22mm - Self Drilling Screws

Hexagon head screws with self-drilling spiral point and bonded 

EPDM washer for general fastening applications to thicker structural 

steel sections. Fine thread and TEK 7 spiral point suitable for steel 

thicknesses from 4.0 – 18.5mm. Tough three-stage zinc-ceramic 

coating for superior corrosion resistance.

Installation

1. Screws should be installed using a Tek screwdriver or cordless 

drill with adequate power and a drilling speed of between 1500 

– 2500 rpm. (IMPORTANT - Impact screwdrivers will damage 

the threads and must not be used)

2. Use a 5/16" socket to install the screw perpendicularly into the 

steel maintaining steady pressure without forcing the tool. 

3. Stop inserting the screw as soon as the compression disc of the 

bonded washer changes from convex to flat.
