Water Recycling Facility – Essex

Project Brief

This was a £5.3m project to upgrade an Anglian Water water recycling facility on a site in Essex. The works included over 250m of above ground pipework that required an adjustable and modular solution.

MIDFIX was appointed to design, engineer, prefabricate and deliver the full range of pipework supports.

Our Solution

The project required working from a Revit BIM model to design and engineer supports for the DN350 and DN500 pipework. The engineering included thrust bracing and valve supports throughout which is why the QMEXX product was chosen.

The supports included traditional U-Bolt and flange connections and bespoke saddle clamps. In addition, the fixing anchors for each of the supports were engineered to ensure and maintain anchoring integrity. The whole project was supplied in a prefabricated form together with identification and drawings for each phase of the installation to ensure easy on-site installation.
